Test Valley School, Stockbridge, Hampshire

Overview

Test Valley School initially subscribed to GCSEPod after securing some external funding. However, the impact has been so significant that they have now subscribed in their own right. GCSEPod is now a vital part of their examination preparation strategy.

"Pupils with an above average GCSEPod usage achieved 0.4 higher Progress 8 scores than those with below average usage. In addition, Pupils with an above average GCSEPod usage achieved an additional 8 Attainment 8 points compared to those with below average usage."

Using GCSEPod to support PiXL strategies

Sir Thomas Picton School, Pembrokeshire

Overview

Like so many schools, Sir Thomas Picton was facing a growing gender gap. But last year, following a subscription to GCSEPod, the school saw its overall L2i results increase, moving the school from quartile 4 to quartile 2 and the L2i outcomes of boys being the highest it had ever been.

Pendle Vale College, Lancashire

Overview

PiXL initiatives to raising standards

Lutterworth High School

Overview

Lutterworth subscribes to GCSEPod and within weeks of setup the school was amongst the highest GCSEPod using schools in the country. Last academic year students accessed an outstanding 32,000 Pods, of which over 11,000 were Maths (the highest Maths usage of any PiXL member).

British School Al Khubairat

Overview

In 2016/17, BSAK was one of only 3 UK curriculum schools in Abu Dhabi to achieve a ‘very good’ inspection grade from the Abu Dhabi Education Council, and the school has recently also achieved 7th place in a lift of top UAE schools: read more about the background and this astounding achievement.
