How GCSEPod usage can impact Progress 8 results
As GCSEPod’s Business Intelligence Manager, it’s my job to sift through the data and find those rare nuggets of insight. Recently, I’ve been investigating this year’s Progress 8 results in relation to GCSEPod usage. I want to share with you something extremely exciting that I’ve found. I looked at the number of Pods different schools have watched over their whole subscription, the 2015/16 Academic year and only from March 2016 onwards (the exam period), and then looked at the average Progress 8 score achieved by a school. As the number of Pods watched increases, something very interesting happens to the average Progress 8 scores! The results are shown in the following slides. Fantastic evidence that our subscribing schools are getting a definitive return on their investment.

“100% of our year 11 students achieved at least 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C.
82% achieved at least 5 GCSEs including Maths, English and/or Welsh at grades A*-C. An impressive 27% of grades were at A* or A compared to the national average of 19.4%.
